eRide provides a comprehensive line of GPS receivers to address customer’s location determination needs across a wide spectrum of applications and markets. eRide products are available both in Chipsets or integrated Module form factors, and either in a cost efficient hosted architecture or with on-board Processor and a navigation platform for ease of integration. This affords customers flexibility in the choice of design and integration and matches a wide variety of applications while keeping time to market requirements to a minimum. All products are provided a powerful set of Navigation Software with optional Software Plug-ins that offer additional functionality, including Assisted GPS (A-GPS), Long Term Satellite Models (LTSM) and Dead Reckoning capabilities.
Chipsets and Modules without on-board processors are categorized as Measurement Platforms (MP) providing data to a host processor through a serial UART connection where the Navigation Software computes the location and heading information. eRide’s Navigation Software is host Operating System independent providing compatibility with a wide variety of host platforms including ARM, Strong ARM, Pentium, SH-Mobile, Samsung and other commonly available micro-Processors. eRide can provide turn-key reference designs around many such platforms.
Modules and Chipsets with on-board processors are categorized as Position, Velocity and Time (PVT) solutions and provide full navigation capabilities to a device in standard NMEA or eRide proprietary eSIP format. The Navigation Software is embedded on the module or chipset.

Measurement Platform Modules
MP modules are designed for ease of integration and fast design turns by incorporating the Prelude RF Receiver IC, the OPUS Baseband IC and selected SAW filters, TCXO and various matching components, depending on the Module, into a single package. Our flip chip technology modules also offer an unparalleled tiny footprint ideally suited for space-constrained applications such as smart phones and PDAs.

The eRide PVT platform consist of a Prelude RF Receiver IC, an OPUS ez Baseband IC. Providing a complete GPS platform in a compact chipset, this offering addresses customers that do not have the resources or the desire to integrate the eRide Navigation Software onto their application processor.
Delivering best in-class performance even in difficult environments such as urban canyons, the PVT chipsets are ideally suited for large volume applications such as Car Navigation, Personal Navigation Devices (PND) and Portable Media Players (PMP).
PVT Modules, design based on the PVT chipsets are designed for ease of integration and short time to market. Communicating with standard NMEA format or with eRide’s proprietary eSIP communication protocol, these modules provide the ultimate in easy of integration and reduced time to market, within weeks of evaluation. These modules are perfect for small volume applications.
